| Aanvullende informatie |
Grimenothyrae was a minor Lydian city whose civic coinage under Trajan represents one of the smaller voices in the dense network of Greek imperial bronzes produced under the Conventus of Sardis. The city is poorly attested in ancient sources, and its coin output was modest — which is precisely why individual specimens carry documentary weight beyond their face value. RPC III#2485 is known from very few examples.
