The reverse legend pairing of ΓΕΡΜΑΝΙΚΩ ΔΑΚΙΚΩ with the ethnic ΑΒΔΗΡΕΙΤΑΙ is a deliberate civic advertisement, attaching Trajan's hard-won military titles to the city's own name as a form of political alignment with Rome's moment of maximum expansion. Dacia fell in 106 AD; these titles appearing on Abderian bronze place the issue firmly after that conquest.
