Obverse description Laureate bust of Emperor Trajan facing right, depicted with characteristic short curly hair bound by a laurel wreath. The effigy shows the emperor in a slightly draped style typical of provincial bronze coinage from the Ephesian mint. A Greek imperial legend encircles the portrait, running along the outer periphery of the flan. The die work reflects the local Ephesian engraving tradition, combining Roman imperial iconography with provincial execution.
