| Obverse description | Turreted and draped bust of the goddess Roma facing right, rendered in the provincial Greek tradition. The turreted crown, emblematic of Roma as protectress of cities, is clearly depicted atop the head. The drapery falls across the shoulder in a stylised manner characteristic of Trajanic-era provincial coinage. The Greek legend ΘΕΑ ΡΩΜΗ is disposed around the bust within the coin's field, identifying the deity. The flan shows slight irregularity typical of hand-struck provincial bronze issues. |
