Issued under the duoviri of Roman Corinth, this piece names L. Arrius Peregrinus as one of the two presiding magistrates — a local elite whose office-holding falls squarely within the period when Tiberius had effectively withdrawn from Rome to Capri, leaving Sejanus to dominate affairs of state until his fall in 31 AD. The colonial mint at Corinth operated intermittently, producing magistrate-named bronzes in short runs tied to specific tenure years rather than continuous production cycles.
