| Obverse description | Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Geta as Caesar facing right, seen from the rear, rendered in the provincial Greek style typical of the Conventus of Ephesus. The obverse legend encircles the effigy in Greek characters, identifying the subject as Lucius Septimius Geta Caesar. The flan is irregular and the surfaces show the characteristic rough strike of a civic bronze issue. Despite heavy wear and patination, the profile portrait with its laureate wreath remains discernible. |
