| Reverse description | Kore (Persephone) of Sardis standing facing, clad in long chiton, wearing a tall polos crown on her head, arms held at her sides. The cult statue type is rendered in a stiff, frontal hieratic pose typical of provincial Lydian coinage of the Severan period. The surrounding Greek legend names the local magistrate and the issuing civic authority. The reverse flan shows significant wear and a small ancient hole drilled through the center of the figure. |
