Obverse description Draped bust of Claudia Octavia, wife of Nero, facing right, her hair elaborately arranged in tightly curled waves and gathered at the nape. The portrait is rendered in the restrained provincial style typical of Corinthian colonial bronzes of the Julio-Claudian period. A partial legend surrounds the bust in the field.
