Obverse description Laureate head of the emperor Nero facing right, rendered in the provincial Greek style with summary engraving. The portrait displays the characteristic Neronian physiognomy with a heavy neck and rounded facial features. A circular Greek legend surrounds the effigy in the field. The flan is irregular and the surfaces show heavy olive-brown patination consistent with extended burial.
