| Reverse description | Artemis Persica standing facing, her body turned slightly, drawing an arrow from a quiver at her shoulder with her right hand while holding a bow in her left. A stag stands to the left of the goddess, serving as her sacred animal attribute and a hallmark of this local Lydian cult type. The composition reflects the distinctive iconography of the Artemis of Hierocaesarea, whose cult was among the most celebrated in Lydia. The Greek legend naming the city and the magistrate Kapiton is distributed around the reverse field. |
