Obverse description Bare laureate head of Emperor Nero facing right, rendered in the provincial style typical of Bithynian civic coinage. The portrait displays the characteristic features of Nero's mature effigy, with a laurel wreath encircling the head. The encircling Greek legend reads ΝΕΡΩΝ ΚΛΑΥΔΙΟΣ ΚΑΙΣΑΡ ΣΕΒΑΣΤΟΣ, distributed around the periphery of the field. The coin surface shows a dark olive-brown patina consistent with prolonged circulation.
