Obverse description Draped bust of Faustina II facing right, depicted in the provincial style typical of Phrygian civic coinage of the Antonine period. The empress is shown with elaborately styled hair drawn back from the face, consistent with her portraiture under Marcus Aurelius. The encircling Greek legend reads ΦΑΥϹΤΙΝΑ ϹΕΒΑϹΤΗ, identifying her as Augusta. The flan is irregular and the surfaces heavily worn, though the bust remains recognisable in relief.
