Obverse description Bare-headed, cuirassed bust of Marcus Aurelius with paludamentum visible at the shoulder, facing right. The portrait is rendered in the typical provincial style of the Antonine period, with the emperor depicted in military dress befitting his imperial status. A partial legend runs along the periphery of the flan. The flan shows considerable wear and surface patination consistent with extended circulation.
