Obverse description Draped bust of Athena facing right, wearing a crested Corinthian helmet and aegis adorned with serpents and the gorgoneion at the breast. The figure is rendered in low relief with a dotted border encircling the coin's field. The aegis is prominently detailed with scale-like texture and serpentine borders, characteristic of provincial bronze coinage from Phrygia. No legend appears on the obverse.

Reverse description Full-length figure of the lunar deity Mên standing to the left, clad in Phrygian attire and wearing a distinctive Phrygian cap. He holds a patera in his extended right hand and a long sceptre in his left, with a crescent visible behind his shoulders — the deity's principal celestial attribute. The reverse legend ϹΥΝΝΑΔΕΩΝ, identifying the issuing city of Synnada in Phrygia, is disposed around the field. The composition is typical of Phrygian civic bronze issues of the Antonine period.
