He holds his characteristic serpent-entwined staff (the caduceus of Asclepius) in his left hand, the serpent coiling upward. The magistrate's name legend ΕΠΙ ΦΛ ΛΙΚΙΝΝΙΑΝΟΥ, identifying the civic official Flavius Licinnianos responsible for the issue, is inscribed around the field.
