Obverse description Laureate and cuirassed bust of the emperor Hadrian facing right, wearing a paludamentum fastened at the shoulder, the drapery visible at the left arm; the portrait is rendered in the frontal three-quarter style characteristic of eastern provincial issues of the period. The encircling legend identifies the emperor by his imperial titulature in Greek characters.
