Reverse description Heracles standing facing left in the field, his muscular figure rendered in the Hellenistic tradition favoured by Smyrnaean civic issues. He extends his right hand holding a patera in offering, while his left arm supports his characteristic club upright and bears the Nemean lion skin draped over the forearm. The encircling Greek legend proudly proclaims the city's triple neocorate status, distributed around the periphery of the flan.
