Obverse description Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Emperor Elagabalus facing right, rendered in three-quarter view from the rear, a presentation characteristic of later Severan provincial coinage. The imperial effigy displays the laurel wreath denoting divine and military honour, with the paludamentum fastened at the shoulder visible beneath the cuirass. The encircling Greek legend identifying the emperor runs around the bust in the field. The flan is irregularly shaped, and the surfaces show heavy patination consistent with provincial bronze production.
