The effigy is rendered in the provincial Greek style characteristic of Mysia under the Antonine dynasty. The legend ΚοΡΗ ϹΩΤΕΙΡΑ appears in the field, identifying the deity as Kore the Saviour, a goddess of particular cultic importance at Cyzicus. A beaded border frames the design. |
