| Obverse description | Bare laureate head of the Emperor Claudius facing right, rendered in the provincial style characteristic of Asia Minor civic coinage. The portrait displays the characteristic features of Claudius with a wreath of laurel leaves encircling the head. The encircling Greek legend runs around the periphery of the flan, identifying the honorand and the issuing civic community. The flan is slightly irregular, as typical of provincial bronze issues of this period. |
