| Obverse description | Jugate busts of Augustus, laureate, and Livia, draped, facing right, rendered in the classical Hellenistic portrait tradition. The larger bust of Augustus is placed in front, with Livia's draped bust visible immediately behind. The coin is uniface in legend on this side, with no surrounding inscription in the field. The portraits exhibit the restrained idealism characteristic of Augustan provincial coinage from Ionia. |

| Reverse description | A stag standing to the right occupies the central field, rendered in a stylized manner consistent with Ephesian civic coinage referencing the cult of Artemis. Above the stag, a quiver is depicted, an emblematic attribute of Artemis as huntress and patron deity of Ephesus. The surrounding field carries a multi-line Greek legend naming the grammateus (civic secretary) Aristion and the Melitoi of Ephesus. The composition reflects the standard Ephesian reverse type associating imperial authority with the city's tutelary goddess. |
