| Reverse description | Hestia, goddess of the hearth, seated to the left upon a throne or chair, rendered in full figure. She extends her right hand forward holding a patera, while her left hand grasps a long sceptre. A small altar or footstool appears at the base of the figure. The ethnic legend ΤΙΑΝΩΝ is distributed in the field to either side of the deity, with the inscription ΕΣΤΙ partially visible in the exergue or lower field, identifying the goddess. The composition reflects standard provincial civic iconography honoring the city's divine patron. |
