The god is shown seated upon a high-backed throne in the classical Pheidian tradition commonly reproduced on provincial coinage of Asia Minor. The ethnic legend ΙΤΑΛΙΚΩ ΑΝΘΥΠΑΤΩ ΔΟΡΥΛΑΕΩΝ runs around the periphery of the coin, honoring the Roman proconsul and attributing the issue to the civic authority of Dorylaeum. |
