| Obverse description | Radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Valerian I facing right, seen from the rear, rendered in the provincial style typical of the Troas mint under joint rule. The emperor's effigy is boldly struck, with the paludamentum draped over the left shoulder and the cuirass visible beneath. A circular Latin legend surrounds the portrait in the field. The flan is irregular and shows characteristic green patination over a dark brown bronze surface. |

| Reverse description | An eagle displayed in flight to the right occupies the central field, its wings outstretched and talons clasping a bucranium, the ox-skull serving as a civic and religious emblem closely associated with the colonial coinage of Alexandria Troas. The bird is rendered with vigorous, deeply cut strokes characteristic of provincial hammered bronze coinage. The circular Latin colonial legend surrounds the type in the field. The flan exhibits heavy green encrustation consistent with prolonged burial. |
