Year 10 of Trajan's reign in Egypt, which ran by the Alexandrian calendar from Thoth 1 — late August 106 CE. The Egyptian provincial bronze coinage operated entirely outside the imperial silver system; Alexandria maintained its own mint with its own dating conventions, issuing regnal-year pieces for local circulation in a closed currency zone that Rome deliberately kept separate from the denarius economy.
