Reverse description Apollo nude, standing to right, the god depicted in dynamic pose as he draws an arrow from the quiver at his shoulder with his raised right hand, while his left hand holds a bow. The figure reflects the Hellenistic artistic tradition common to provincial bronze coinage of the Conventus of Sardis. The reverse legend, disposed around the field, records the name of the local magistrate responsible for the issue. The type likely references a local cult of Apollo venerated at Synaus.
