Siblia was a minor Phrygian settlement within the conventus of Apamea whose civic coinage under Tiberius represents one of the few material traces the town left at all — it does not appear in the major geographical surveys of the period with any prominence. The magistrate name ΜΕΝΕΔΗΜΟΣ identifies this as a civic issue tied to a local official whose tenure under the early principate gave the community its brief window of recorded monetary activity.
The conventus of Apamea administered a sprawling cluster of Phrygian and Lydian communities, many of which struck small bronze only sporadically under individual magistrates.
