| Obverse description | Laureate head of the emperor Septimius Severus facing right, rendered in the provincial Greek style typical of the Ionian mint of Clazomenae. The portrait is encircled by a Greek imperial titulature legend disposed around the periphery of the flan. The flan is irregular and the surfaces show heavy patination consistent with extended burial, rendering fine portrait detail largely obscured. |

| Obverse lettering | ΑΥ Κ Λ ϹΕ ϹΕΟΥΗΡΟϹ ΠΕΡ (Translation: Emperor Caesar Lucius Septimius Severus Pertinax) |
| Reverse description | Cybele, the Phrygian mother goddess, depicted standing facing with arms extended, flanked on either side by a lion, the whole composition referencing her role as Mater Deum and her traditional leonine attendants. The reverse legend, distributed around the field, records the name of the local magistrate (strategos) responsible for the coin issue, a common convention in provincial coinage of the Severan period. The surfaces are heavily worn and encrusted, with the figurative type only partially discernible. |
