| Beschrijving voorzijde | Laureate, draped bust of Caracalla facing right, with short curly hair and youthful features typical of his early portraiture. The effigy is rendered in the provincial style characteristic of Bithynian mint workshops of the Severan period. A circular legend surrounds the bust, reading ANTΩNINVS AVGVSTVS, noteworthy for its mixed Greek and Latin lettering. The flan is irregular and slightly uneven, consistent with hand-struck provincial coinage of the era. |
