| Beschrijving keerzijde | Zeus enthroned to the left, depicted in the conventional Hellenistic manner, holding a patera in his extended right hand and a long sceptre in his left. In the field, a crescent and an owl are visible as secondary symbols, emblematic of local Phrygian religious iconography. The surrounding Greek legend names the local magistrates Servenius Capito and Julia Severa, the latter a notable figure of Jewish and pagan heritage attested epigraphically at Akmonia. The overall composition is typical of Julio-Claudian provincial bronze issues from the cities of Phrygia. |
