| Obverse description | Laureate and draped bust of Marcus Aurelius facing right, rendered in the provincial style characteristic of the Arabian mint at Bostra. The emperor's effigy displays a finely detailed laurel wreath and short beard consistent with his mature portraiture. The encircling Latin legend reads M ANTONINVS AVGVSTVS around the bust in the field. The flan is irregular and the strike somewhat weak in areas, typical of provincial bronze coinage of the period. |
