Obverse description Bare-headed bust of Marcus Aurelius facing right, with traces of drapery visible at the shoulder, rendered in the characteristic Antonine style with voluminous curled hair and beard. The imperial effigy is depicted with naturalistic portraiture typical of provincial bronze coinage of this period. A circular Greek legend runs around the periphery within a dotted border. A countermark appears in the lower left field.
