Obverse description Youthful, lightly bearded, laureate bust of Commodus, draped in cuirass and paludamentum, facing right and shown from the rear in three-quarter view. The portrait reflects the early co-regency period under Marcus Aurelius, with the legend disposed around the periphery of the flan. The die work is characteristic of a provincial Lydian mint, with bold if somewhat uneven engraving.
