| 表面の説明 | Draped bust of Lucilla facing right, her hair elaborately coiffed and drawn back in the fashion typical of Antonine imperial women. The effigy is rendered in the provincial Greek style, with the drapery visible at the shoulder and chest. A partial Greek legend runs along the left field, partially off the flan. The portrait, though worn, conveys the characteristic features associated with Lucilla's coinage from the eastern provincial mints. |

Eresus was one of four cities on the island of Lesbos permitted to strike civic bronze under Roman administration, operating within the conventus centered at Adramyteum on the Asian mainland. The city's output during the Antonine period was modest and irregular — struck to meet local transactional needs rather than any sustained civic program — which accounts for the relative scarcity of well-preserved pieces today. The dating to 163–169 places this coin within the co-reign of Marcus Aurelius and Lucius Verus, though Eresus civic issues did not typically acknowledge the junior emperor.
