| Opis rewersu | Frontal standing cult statue of Artemis Ephesia (Ephesian Artemis) depicted in the canonical xoanon form, rigid and hieratic, with multiple rows of oval protuberances on the chest, arms extended horizontally and supported by lateral props or stags, and lower body sheathed in a tight ornamental garment adorned with registers of relief decoration. The statue is flanked by the civic ethnic legend ΚΑΔΟΗΝΩΝ in the field. The type closely follows the well-known Ephesian cult image as reproduced across numerous civic bronzes of western Asia Minor during the Imperial period. |
