Obverse description Laureate and draped bust of Emperor Hadrian facing right, with drapery visible on the left shoulder. The effigy is rendered in the provincial Egyptian style typical of Alexandrian coinage, with the emperor's characteristic beard and laurel wreath clearly discernible. The circular Greek legend surrounds the portrait in the field, partially visible along the upper and right periphery of the flan. The coin exhibits the irregular, somewhat ragged flan characteristic of hammered Alexandrian provincial bronzes of the period.
