| 背面描述 | Apollo, draped in a himation, seated left upon the omphalos, the sacred navel-stone of Delphi. His right arm is raised, possibly holding a laurel branch or patera, though the precise object remains indeterminate due to wear. The composition is a canonical Delphic type evoking the god's oracle sanctuary. The ethnic legend ΔΕΛΦΩΝ appears in the field, identifying the issuing city. |

Hadrian's relationship with Delphi was not passive veneration. He visited the sanctuary, held the position of archon at Athens, and actively patronized the Amphictyonic League — the interstate religious council over which Delphi presided. Local bronze issues bearing his name functioned as civic expressions of that patronage, produced by the city rather than the imperial mint, with typology and legends selected by Delphic authorities themselves.
The reference III#431 places this within the standard corpus for Achaean provincial bronzes, though die-link studies for Delphic civic issues of the Hadrianic period remain incomplete.
