Obverse description Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Elagabalus facing right, rendered in the provincial style characteristic of Arabian civic coinage. The emperor's portrait displays a radiate wreath of laurel leaves encircling the head, with visible drapery over the near shoulder. The circumferential legend runs around the bust within a beaded border, and the overall execution reflects the local Petraean workshop idiom of the early third century AD.
