Reverse description A seated male figure, identified tentatively as Asclepius, depicted facing left on the reverse. His left arm rests upon a tall sceptre while his right hand is extended toward a serpent rearing before him. The ethnic legend ΜΑΓΝΗΤωΝ is distributed in the field, attributing the issue to the Magnetes of Thessaly. The style is characteristic of provincial Flavian-era bronzes from the Thessalian league.
