Reverse description A dolphin, its sinuous body coiled around a vertically positioned anchor, rendered as a symbol of imperial maritime power and a device well attested in Alexandrian provincial coinage. The anchor is depicted upright with prominent flukes and a crossbar surmounted by a ring, while the dolphin wraps about the shaft in a graceful curve. The regnal date legend is placed in the field to either side of the device, within a dotted border.
