背面描述 Full-length frontal cult statue of Artemis Ephesia (Artemis of Ephesus) standing on a low plinth, depicted in the canonical polysemos type with multiple rows of oval protuberances on the chest, lateral supports, and lower body adorned with registers of relief decoration. The figure is rigid and hieratic in the ancient idol tradition. The ethnic legend of the issuing city is distributed in the field to either side of the deity.

附加信息

Cadi was a small Phrygian city in the Sardis conventus — one of the administrative districts through which Rome managed judicial and civic life in Asia Minor. Under Domitian, provincial bronze issues like this one were produced locally to fill gaps in small-denomination currency that Rome's own mints had little incentive to supply. The city name rendered as ΚΑΔΟΗΝΩΝ reflects the Greek civic genitive standard across Flavian-era Phrygian coinage.

Domitian's damnatio memoriae following his assassination in 96 AD had almost no practical effect on provincial bronzes already in circulation.
