Obverse description Laureate head of the emperor Domitian facing right, rendered in the conventional Roman provincial style. The portrait displays the characteristic features of Domitian's later coinage, with the laureate wreath encircling the head. The surrounding legend runs along the coin's circumference in Latin characters. The flan is irregular, consistent with hand-struck provincial coinage of the Flavian period.
