| Obverse description | Laureate and draped bust of Caracalla facing right, rendered in the provincial style characteristic of Mesopotamian civic coinage. The laureate wreath is rendered with bold individual leaves, and the pauldron of the imperial cuirass is visible at the truncation. The surrounding legend, partially legible, reads [M ANTON]INVS P F AVG, identifying the emperor by his imperial titulature. The portrait exhibits the vigorous, somewhat coarse engraving typical of the Carrhae mint. |

| Reverse description | Turreted and veiled bust of Tyche, the city goddess of Carrhae, facing right, adorned with a mural crown of multiple turrets symbolising the city's fortifications. A veil falls behind the head in the manner conventional for divine personifications on provincial coinage. The encircling legend, partially preserved, reads COI MET ANTO-NINIANA A[VR ALEX], identifying the colonial metropolis under the Antoninian and Aurelian Alexandrian designation. The engraving reflects the local provincial workshop style of Mesopotamia under Severan imperial authority. |
