Obverse description Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Caracalla facing right, seen from the front, with paludamentum visible over the shoulder. The emperor's effigy is rendered in the typical Roman provincial style, with a beaded border encircling the design. A Greek legend runs along the periphery of the flan, partially legible due to the irregular striking. The portrait displays the characteristic youthful features associated with Caracalla's early reign coinage from eastern provincial mints.
