Beschrijving voorzijde	Laureate head of Augustus facing right, rendered in the idealized Hellenistic portrait style typical of Augustan provincial coinage. A lituus (augural staff) appears in the left field before the emperor's effigy. The Greek legend ΣΕΒΑΣΤΟΣ is disposed around the portrait. The flan is irregular, as is characteristic of locally struck provincial bronze issues.

The ethnic legend ΜΙΔΑΕΩΝ encircles the effigy, attributing the issue to the city of Midaeum in Phrygia.
