| Obverse description | Bare or laureate head of Augustus facing right, depicted in the idealized Julio-Claudian portrait style characteristic of provincial coinage from the Conventus of Pergamum. The emperor's effigy is rendered with fine detail to the facial features, consistent with Augustan-era civic bronzes. The circular Greek legend ΕΛΑΙΤΩΝ ΣΕΒΑΣΤΟΣ (of the Elaeans, Augustus) runs around the periphery of the flan. |
