| Beschrijving keerzijde | A hexastyle temple façade depicted frontally, showing six columns supporting an entablature and a pediment decorated with an acroterion at its apex. The temple is raised on a stepped podium of two or three visible steps, consistent with representations of the imperial cult temple at Pergamum. The surrounding Greek legend ΧΑΡΙΝΟΣ ΓΡΑΜΜΑΤΕΥΩΝ identifies the civic magistrate Charinos, serving as grammateus (secretary), in whose name the issue was struck. The architectural rendering is characteristic of Pergamene civic bronze coinage of the early Imperial period. |
