| Obverse description | Bare laureate head of Augustus facing right, rendered in the conventional Julio-Claudian portrait style typical of provincial bronze coinage. The emperor's effigy displays the characteristic wreath of laurel encircling the head, with facial features consistent with Augustan iconography. The Greek legend ΣΕΒΑΣΤΟΣ (Sebastos, the Greek equivalent of Augustus) arcs around the portrait in the field. The flan is irregular and the surface shows characteristic patination of a circulated provincial bronze issue. |
