Obverse description Laureate head of Antoninus Pius facing right, with short beard and characteristic facial features of the emperor. The portrait is rendered in the provincial style typical of Bithynian civic coinage, with the laurel wreath clearly delineated. The circular legend runs around the periphery of the flan in Greek characters. The flan is slightly irregular, consistent with hand-struck provincial bronze issues of the Antonine period.
