Reverse description A dolphin depicted diving downward, its body curving gracefully around a vertical trident, a motif emblematic of maritime Alexandria and its Greco-Egyptian cultural tradition. The composition fills the central field, with the trident positioned vertically and the dolphin entwined about its shaft. The regnal date legend appears in the field, expressed in the Egyptian year-dating formula characteristic of Alexandrian coinage. The flan is irregular with slight flan cracks at the edge, typical of struck provincial bronzes of the Antonine period.
